Isabella White is a Senior at Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan. She has been involved in the nonprofit sector for numerous years, supporting the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, serving as a coach for Flint Style Soccer, a free youth soccer program, and serves as a member of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s Youth Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and serves as a mentor group leader for the Baraga House, a member of the DECA Club and Green Club. As an avid athlete, she has played varsity soccer for four years and was appointed captain of the team her junior year.
After witnessing gun violence firsthand her sophomore year of high school, she began to explore ways she could change the narrative on gun violence. Combining her experience with nonprofits and her love for sports, the Assist Foundation was launched with a goal of saving lives and reducing gun violence in the City of Flint.
